Biography

For over 25 years I have worked in public education, teaching children in grades K-5. Their joy, energy, and curiosity is what drives me to continue finding ways to make learning meaningful. As Outdoor Educator, I work closely with the Boston Public School’s Science Department, science educators, and classroom teachers to provide engaging professional development that can help translate the outdoors into hands-on, content-rich life science experiences for children. Working closely with Nancy Sableski, I also participate in the field study programs and guide training, sharing my knowledge about child development and best practices in education.
When not working with children, I love to spend time in my garden, digging in the soil and coaxing beauty to reveal itself at every turn. I also enjoy reading (especially children’s books), traveling, and cooking.
