Bussey Brook Meadow is directly across Washington Street from the south end of the Forest Hills Orange Line Subway Station. Large granite piers and a cast iron gate mark the entrance. From inside the Arboretum, one can reach Bussey Brook Meadow by following Valley Road to where it ends at South Street. Go through the South Street Gate and cross the road to enter Bussey Brook Meadow. If driving, there is limited parking in front of the South Street Gate.
Blackwell Path is constructed of compacted stone dust and is wheelchair accessible for its entire length from the Forest Hills Subway Station to South Street.
How long should I explore?
It takes about 15 or 20 minutes to walk from one end of Bussey Brook Meadow to the other. If you want to look at anything or use the mobile app, it will take longer.
