Biography

Growing up in Indiana I spent my summers camping with my family in Michigan, I loved being outside and spending as much time in nature as possible. I spent several years after college working on farms and in agricultural education. I was then fortunate to study horticulture in graduate school at University of Georgia where I deepened my knowledge of agricultural and horticultural plants. I worked as a seasonal gardener at the Arboretum in 2019 and loved working with the large diversity of trees. I then went on to work at the Trustees for 4 years helping to care for several diverse properties including parks, gardens, trails, and meadows. I’m excited to be back at the Arboretum as a full-time horticulturist. I care for the plants along conifer path and the crabapple and hawthorn collections on Peter’s Hill.
