Emma Daily is a PhD candidate in the Templer lab at Boston University, interested in the impacts of climate change and urbanization on biogeochemical cycling in forest ecosystems. She graduated from Macalester College in 2019 with a degree in Biology, and has studied changing ecology in prairie, coastal, and Arctic ecosystems. Her work at the Arboretum investigates relationships between particulate matter pollution, tree ecophysiology, and tree nutrient cycling in Boston’s urban oaks and maples. Outside of science, Emma enjoys books, backpacking, and live music.
