Biography

I discovered the world of public horticulture while studying Environmental Science at Smith College and working for the college’s Botanic Garden. Since then, I have greatly enjoyed getting my hands dirty and working with kind and inspiring plant people every day! My passion for trees was bolstered by an arboriculture internship at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA, where I built my climbing skills and developed a foundation of tree care experience.

I fell in love with plant production specifically while working for The Native Plant Trust’s Nasami Farm Nursery in 2021. That led me to the Dana Greenhouse here at the Arboretum where I began as a Seasonal Gardener in March of 2022. Being involved in the early life of the Arboretum plants feels like such a special privilege and provides me with a daily source of awe at the workings of the natural world. I am incredibly grateful to work in a place that is loved by so many, and for all of the support I have received from everyone around me here.
