Biography

Conor Guidarelli addresses a group.

My interests in sustainable plant cultivation, soil management, and design, guided me to the field of public horticulture. I undertook my role as a Horticultural Technologist in September 2016, and am responsible for the care and maintenance of the Lilacs, Azalea Border, State Lab Slope, Legumes, and South Street Slope. Additionally, I am working to build the Soil Health Management program at the Arboretum and am the contributing member of the horticulture crew for the Arnold Arboretum Soils Advisory Committee.

Prior to joining the Arboretum, I worked as Assistant Manager of Operations and Sustainability for Recover Green Roofs, as a consultant and farmer for Inyanga Ranch LLC, and as a QA/QC researcher for Grouse Malting and Roasting. I bring over a decade of landscaping experience, backed by a degree in Soil and Crop Sciences from Colorado State University, where I focused on crop development for the fermentation industry.
