Hands-On Grafting Workshop
This is a members-only program. Not a member? Click here to join!
Propagators at the Arboretum and all over the world use grafting to fuse together different plants, taking positive traits from each to create maximum disease resistance, drought tolerance, and more. Now, it’s your turn! Join us for a hands-on grafting workshop led by Assistant Manager of Plant Production Chris Copeland and learn the core concepts of grafting, then try your hand at doing some grafting yourself.
This program will start with an hour of introduction and discussion followed by an hour of hands-on activity. Participants will take a graft home with them.
Accessibility: This program takes place entirely in the Hunnewell Lecture Hall, which is wheelchair accessible.
Audience: This members-only program is 18+ and designed for individuals who want to graft their own plants but have limited prior grafting experience.
Inclement weather policy: Participants will be notified via email at least one day in advance if a program needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather, and will be notified by phone if a program must be cancelled with less one day’s notice.
