Adam Banks

As a Curatorial Assistant, I am excited to support the efforts of the curation department in maintaining and expanding the Arboretum’s vast information resources on its plants. My work includes mapping, labeling, and evaluating the health of trees across the Arboretum’s landscape.

Growing up in Jamaica Plain, I have been a perennial visitor to the Arboretum and surrounding segments of the Emerald Necklace. These landscapes give me a deep appreciation for public green space, and inspired me to pursue a career in horticulture. After working as a Hunnewell Intern with the plant production department in summer 2021 and as a seasonal gardener with the horticulture department in the 2022 growing season, I am glad to have new opportunities to contribute to the Arboretum as a space of community learning.
