Tree Mob: The American Pawpaw
This is a hybrid program, with on-site attendance limited to members only and online attendance open to the general public.
Join Head Arborist John DelRosso for a Tree Mob on the American pawpaw, the largest edible fruit native to the United States whose flavor has been described as a cross between a mango and a banana. Learn about recipes you can make with pawpaw fruit, medicinal uses of the plant, the tree’s unique pollination strategies, and how the Arboretum cares for its own pawpaw trees.
Tree Mobs are short, spontaneous learning opportunities in the landscape based on seasonal phenomena. Click here to get notified of future Tree Mobs.
