The trio of ponds in the Bradley Rosaceous Collection are some of many beautiful features of the Arnold Arboretum’s ecosystem and landscape. In Bruce Wilson’s photography exhibition, they now get top billing. Wilson brings his artistic eye to photographs of urban ponds, those at the Arboretum and one in Newton. He shares with us his discovery of shadows, reflections, visitor interaction, and flora. His images complement the trees, emphasize the subtle or saturated colors of water, and capture interactions between visitors and scenes of rich pond life. Water is a magical, as well as a crucial element in our lives. The wonderful images in this show provide “Enjoyment and Discovery of Nature” for all, whether visiting the Arnold Arboretum on foot, from your phone, or your home.
