SUMMARY:Bizarre Botany: Working Together
DESCRIPTION:This is a members-only program. Not a member? Click here to join. \n\n\n\nJoin Manager of Adult Programming and Events Sarah Nechamen for a deep dive into the strangest parts of the plant world. This month’s theme is mutualisms and symbioses: from plants that recruit ant armies to defend against herbivores\, to mycorrhizal networks that stretch deep into the soil\, explore all of the weird and wonderful ways plants work with other creatures to meet their needs. \n\n\n\nAccessibility: This program will cover about a mile and a half on paved roads\, gravel paths\, mowed grass\, and off-path terrain. \n\n\n\nAudience: This members-only program is geared towards adults. \n\n\n\nInclement weather policy: Participants will be notified via email at least one day in advance if a program needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather\, and will be notified by phone if a program must be cancelled with less one day’s notice. Click here to view our full inclement weather policy. If you have questions about the status of a program\, please email publicprograms@arnarb.harvard.edu (inbox monitored on weekdays) or call the Visitor Center desk between 10:00am and 4:00pm at (617) 384-5209.
