SUMMARY:Identifying Conifers
DESCRIPTION:This program was rescheduled from January 24 due to cold. \n\n\n\nThis is a members-only program. Not a member? Click here to join. \n\n\n\nHow do you tell the difference between a fir and a spruce? What about a pitch pine and an Eastern white pine? Join herbalist Alex Klein for a tree identification class focused entirely on conifers\, so that you can start ID’ing these fascinating trees in Massachusetts streets and forests. \n\n\n\nThere may be ice and snow on the paths: good footwear is encouraged! \n\n\n\nAccessibility: This program will cover about a mile of walking over pavement\, woodchips\, and dirt paths. \n\n\n\nAudience: This members-only program is geared towards adults. No prior plant ID experience necessary! \n\n\n\nInclement weather policy: Participants will be notified via email at least one day in advance if a program needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather\, and will be notified by phone if a program must be cancelled with less one day’s notice. Click here to view our full inclement weather policy. If you have questions about the status of a program\, please email publicprograms@arnarb.harvard.edu (inbox monitored on weekdays) or call the Visitor Center desk between 10:00am and 4:00pm at (617) 384-5209. \n\n\n\nMake sure to select a number of tickets before clicking “Get Tickets” below!
