SUMMARY:Exhibit Opening for Living Connections: The Arnold Arboretum and Korea
DESCRIPTION:For more than a century\, the Arnold Arboretum has been connected to Korea through plants and scientific exchange. The new Living Connections exhibit brings together rare archival images\, living collections\, and contemporary partnerships to explore Korea’s botanical heritage and the evolving relationship between the Arboretum and Korean institutions. Living Connections traces a story from early plant exploration to modern collaboration\, showing how historic collections continue to support research\, conservation\, and cultural understanding today. \n\n\n\nJoin us for opening day of this new exhibition in the Hunnewell Visitor Center and lecture hall. The exhibit will be open from 10:00am to 4:00pm on October 24th\, with Head of the Library and Archives Lisa Pearson available throughout the day to discuss how she used historic photographs and archives to develop this exhibition. \n\n\n\nYou can also register for Michael Dosmann’s Korean Trees of the Arboretum\, a walking tour of Korean plants in the landscape from 10:00 to 11:30am. \n\n\n\nThis event will run rain or shine. Registration not required to view the exhibit. \n\n\n\nLiving Connections is open daily (except holidays) from October 24 – June 13\, 2027. Learn more. \n\n\n\nThis exhibition is sponsored in part by Leslie and Peter Ciampi.
