Free Walking Tours
From flowers and fragrance to fruits and textures, the Arnold Arboretum is a dynamic landscape throughout the year! Come for a tour and experience the Arboretum in a new way. Explore the collections on a free guided tour led by our knowledgeable docents. Tours are geared toward the general adult visitor and include Arboretum history and topics of seasonal interest. All tours begin in front of the Hunnewell Building Visitor Center and last approximately 60-90 minutes. There is no need to pre-register. Tour Schedule
The Tour season runs form April through November on:
- select Saturdays at 10:30 am.,
- select Sundays at 1:00 pm.,
- select Wednesdays at 12:15 pm,
- select first Fridays of the month at 6:00 pm.

Scheduled Group Tours
Adult groups interested in scheduling a guided tour should contact the Visitor's Center at least 3 weeks in advance of their visit. Group tours are 90 minutes long and cost $125 for a maximum of 20 people for a walking tour or 35 people for a bus tour. (Groups must supply their own bus.) School Groups
School groups interested in bringing children to the Arboretum should contact Nancy Sableski, Manager of Children's Education, at 617.384.5239.
College and University Groups
As part of its education mission, the Arboretum provides academic walking tours to college and university groups studying relevant subjects. These are free of charge and led by Arboretum staff members whenever possible. To schedule an academic tour, course instructors or academic advisors should call 617.384.5209 or e-mail arbweb@arnarb.harvard.edu. Please contact the Arboretum at least 3 weeks in advance; also describe the scope of the course or other specifics that would allow us to place you with the most appropriate staff member(s).
