By Subway
Take the MBTA Red Line to Harvard Square in Cambridge. Take the Church Street exit. Follow Massachusetts Avenue one block, turning left onto Garden Street. The Landscape Institute is approximately three blocks down Garden Street on the right side of the street, after the Longy School of Music. At the corner of Garden and Chauncy, turn right. Thirty Chauncy is the rampled entrance on your right.

From South of Boston
Take I-95 north to exit 25 (I-90/Massachusetts Turnpike). Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) east to exit 18 (Cambridge/Allston). Bear right after the toll at the end of the exit ramp. At the third set of lights (over the bridge) turn left onto Memorial Drive. After the third set of lights on Memorial Drive, bear right onto Hawthorne Street (first turn possible). At the light, turn right onto Mount Auburn Street and turn left onto Ash Street (first left turn possible). At the stop sign, bear slightly right onto Mason Street. At the light, turn left onto Garden Street. The Landscape Institute is approximately three blocks down Garden Street on the right side of the street, after the Longy School of Music. From North of Boston
Take I-93 south to exit 26 (Storrow Drive/North Station). Keep left at end of the elevated ramp; follow underpass to Storrow Drive. Continue on Storrow Drive approximately four miles to the Harvard Square exit. Turn right onto the bridge at the end of the exit ramp. Turn left at first light onto Memorial Drive. Bear right onto Hawthorne Street (first turn possible). At the light, turn right onto Mount Auburn Street and turn left onto Ash Street (first left turn possible). At the stop sign, bear slightly right onto Mason Street. At the light, turn left onto Garden Street. The Landscape Institute is about two blocks ahead on the right, after the Longy School of Music. At the corner of Garden and Chauncy, turn right. Thirty Chauncy is the ramped entrance on your right.
From West of Boston

Public Transportation
Commuter Choice
Harvard University is well served by public transportation, allowing access to South Station, Logan International Airport, downtown Cambridge and Boston, and most points of interest. Bicycling is also a quick and direct way to travel in the local area. Harvard Shuttle
Visitors are eligible to use the free Harvard shuttle for transportation from Harvard Business School to Garden Street. Call 617.495.0400 to obtain a shuttle schedule.
MBTA
If possible, visitors should use the MBTA subway or bus system to get to Harvard Square. The closest stop is in Harvard Square, a ten-minute walk from 30 Chauncy Street.
The closest MBTA Parking facility is at Alewife Station Redline. Additional MBTA parking lots exist throughout the commuter rail and subway system. More information can be obtained by visiting www.mbta.com/riding_the_t/parking/.
Parking in Harvard Square, Cambridge
Metered Parking
Metered parking is extremely limited in Harvard Square. The best locations to find metered parking in the area of 30 Chauncy Street are along Garden Street near Cambridge Common and along Massachusetts Avenue. There are also meters along Brattle Street.
Visitor Parking at Harvard
Visitors can register to obtain a one-day visitor permit through the Parking Office at Harvard University by visiting http://www.uos.harvard.edu/transportation/parking/visitor_parking.shtml.
The Parking Office requires registration to use their online service. Pass codes can be obtained through the Landscape Institute office. Once registered, visitors can obtain a one-day parking permit in advance of a visit to the Landscape Institute, in Harvard-affiliated parking garages on a space-available basis. The Harvard Shuttle stops at some of these locations and can bring students down Garden Street or to the center of Harvard Square.
Commercial Parking Lots in the Area
The Landscape Institute offers limited validation at the University Place Garage located on University Road, across the street from the Charles Hotel parking garage. Visitors can obtain a merchant validation stamp and pay only $12 for up to five hours at the University Place Garage. In addition, visitors can purchase an all-day parking sticker from the Landscape Institute for $17. Students should make sure to bring their parking ticket with them if they are planning to obtain a parking validation stamp.
