Annual Fund
Read the director’s fall appeal letter celebrating the M. Victor and Frances Leventritt Garden of Shrubs and Vines. The American Society of Landscape Architects presented its 2007 Award of Excellence to the garden and its architects, Reed|Hilderbrand of Watertown, MA. The Leventritt Garden features a diverse collection of sun-loving plants cultivated on a sloping, four-acre site defined by fieldstone walls, terraced planting beds, an open teaching pavilion, and steel vine trellises. Completed and endowed in 2002 through the generosity of Frances Leventritt in memory of her husband, Victor, the Leventritt Garden offers new opportunities for research and teaching in botany, ecology, conservation, horticulture, and landscape design.
The Arnold Arboretum relies on the generosity of its members and friends to provide the funding support that is critical to the care of our collections and the continuation of our programs.
Your contributions to the annual fund support our mission to discover and disseminate knowledge of the plant kingdom to foster greater understanding, appreciation, and stewardship of the Earth’s botanical diversity and its essential value to humankind.
