As Director of Development, I lead a small fundraising team that sustains programs for research, horticulture, and education at the Arnold Arboretum. Prior to joining the staff here, I worked as a nonprofit fundraiser in the Washington, DC area, and most recently raised restricted and unrestricted funds for Duke University. As an avid indoor and outdoor gardener, I was drawn to the Arnold Arboretum, its people, and its mission.
As a young girl, I enjoyed working in a large family garden with my parents. The most important lesson I learned was that sugar snaps are best eaten immediately upon harvest. I am committed to community service and social responsibility, serving on the Social Action Committee of my temple. I look forward to getting more involved with this work in the Boston area. When not at the Arboretum, I can often be found exploring the outdoors with my husband, Alex, and my English Setter. I also enjoy cooking and baking, cycling, finding sunny spots for summer container gardening, and tending my potted begonias.
