The Arboretum’s repository of personal papers and institutional records.
Personal Papers
document the work and research of Arboretum staff members and includes papers of the directors, botanical illustrators, propagators, plant explorers, researchers, and associates.
Institutional Records
include annual reports, minutes, long-range plans, mission statements, course descriptions, publications, plant records, plant lists, maps, weather data, and in-house publications.
Correspondence Database
includes letters written or received by staff members dating from the 1880s to 1940. Correspondents only; subjects are not indexed.
The archives are also the repository of a small number of other horticultural and botanical collections such as records of the Atkins Institution, Bussey Institution, Chestnut Blight Commission Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, International Lilac Society.
