Visions of Spring Juror
Jill Conley recently relocated to the Boston area from Brooklyn, NY, where she held the position of Curator for the Steinhardt Conservatory Gallery at Brooklyn Botanic Garden for four years. At the Garden, Conley curated shows that featured contemporary artwork connected to nature, ranging from historical, photographic studies of plants and insects to large-scale porcelain botanic sculptures and multi-monitor video installation work.
Prior to Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Conley curated a number of contemporary art exhibitions at galleries in Austin, TX, Los Angeles, CA and New York City, NY. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting, Photography, and Graphic Design from the University of Texas at Austin and has further studies in painting and art history from Santa Chiara in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy.
Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Conley lived in Los Angeles and Brooklyn before moving to Boston, where she is currently doing freelance curatorial work.
